Residential Property Update
Gary Cooke
A recent report from the National House Building Council (NHBC) revealed that the registration of new homes to be built in the UK is at its highest rate since 2007.
The West Midlands has seen a particular upswing in construction, and thanks to the government's Help to Buy scheme, and estimated 5,000 homeowners have got onto the property ladder by acquiring newly-built properties in the area.
Help to Buy, along with government initiatives and historically-low interest rates have all helped foster a demand for new, affordable housing.
